My works are deeply inspired by color, movement and nature. My style bounces from contemporary realism to abstract work.

Most recently, I have enjoyed the freedom of expressing my creativity through intuitive art. I find it exciting to begin a painting with no planned finish for the piece. By allowing the paint to dance on the canvas, I am no longer so concerned with following a particular plan or style. I consider this one of the perks of a long art career.

I have always been fascinated by the interchange of textures, colors and details. I draw upon these elements as a never ending source of inspiration. I seek to capture the general feel of the subjects as I interpret them: the loneliness of a single character, the playfulness of scattered umbrellas on the beach, the color of a whimsical cottage among the trees.

I work almost exclusively with acrylic paints preferring the quick drying times and the ability to layer multiple pigments. I very much enjoy getting lost in the creating of my work. As I work through that creative process, my hope would be to always find the same level of excitement as a small child with a new box of Crayons.
